HOW IT
WORKS

Let's Get Acquainted

Fill out our inquiry form to receive a ballpark estimate of cabinetry for your project.  If you decide that you would like to move forward and the estimate fits within your budget, we will begin the process of getting to know you and your desires for your dream kitchen in more detail.  At this time a 10% deposit of the ballpark estimate will be required so that we can begin producing designed drawings of your space.  This deposit will be applied toward your purchase, but is non refundable if you choose not to order.

02

Document & Measure

Submit any drawings that you may already have of your space.  You may send inspiration pictures as well, or share your Pinterest board by sending it to our email address.  Take a sufficent amount of pictures.  Label each picture with where it is located in the space. Submit detail measurements, including actual ceiling heights, location and measurements of the island.  Don’t forget the location and specs of the kitchen sink and appliances.  We will need appliance model #’s, along with any obstructions or unmovable structures in the space that we need to know about.

A few other things to think about:

Paint and/or stain colors

Floating shelves

Butcher blocks

Custom furniture island instead of traditional island

Design Time

Now for the fun part...design consultation!  This is where you get to communicate to our in-house designer of all your needs, wants, and splurges you have been dreaming up for this space.

Once we receive all of your information, we will schedule a phone consultation, or if you are local we can meet in our office.  We will discuss your project in detail and make sure we have a good idea of what you envision for the space, or if you need design help or have any questions we will be able to assist you at this time as well.  From this point we will begin drawing up design plans for your space! You will receive a detailed CAD with a 3D drawing of your project.  Once you have received and reviewed your drawing, a final consultation will be scheduled via video conference. It is highly recommended that if you are working with a contractor that the contractor is included in this conference.  At this time we will go over the design and make sure that every detail is documented. One revision is included, any other revisions will be an hourly rate, in which payment will be required at the time of revision request and will not be applied to your final payment.

04

Review & Confirm

Now that we have the design down, we will send final drawings, along with detailed measurements for you to review and approve.

Please check all measurements closely and confirm that everything is correct.

If you have a contractor that you are working with, please have this person verify all measurements as well. Jobestead Cabinetry is not responsible for inaccurate measurements.  All cabinetry is non returnable and non refundable.  Once everything is reviewed and confirmed, we will send a written contract for you to sign.

05

Made to Order

After the final drawings have been submitted for review and a contract has been signed, we will require the remaining balance upon ordering. We accept ACH and all major credit cards with a 3% fee added to the order to cover credit card fees.  Production of your cabinetry has a lead time of approximately 8-12 weeks, which includes delivery.  Please send delivery address at this time.

06

Delivery & Installation

When your cabinetry is nearing completion, you will be contacted to schedule your delivery.  Your cabinetry will be blanket wrapped and loaded into the shipping truck.  Upon arrival each cabinet will be brought to the end of the truck and inspected on site before unloading. The receiving person will need to sign a delivery receipt that will state that all cabinetry is correct and damaged free. We recommend 2-4 able bodies to completely unload the truck.

If cabinetry is not being installed right away, we recommend storing cabinetry in a temperature controlled environment as wood will move with fluctuating temperatures.
